Share a day at the legendary TED Conference with your library community. Convene a livestream viewing event at your library on February 16, 17 or 18, 2016. Choose a day and apply for a free license to hold a simulcast viewing event for up to one full day. Libraries worldwide may apply for an event license to hold a TEDxLive event. Choose "TedxLive Event" on the application form, and apply soon, as application approvals do take time. Also make sure that you have the technical requirements to show the simulcast. When applying for your license, please use the naming convention “TEDx*your library name*Library*Live” as the name for the event, such as TEDxEdmondsLibraryLive.
A simulcast viewing experience connects your library audience with great ideas and with a global community of thinkers, artists and storytellers. Your community, whether a small group or a large audience, can be among the first to see and hear these talks; and even more, a TEDxLive event can make for a unique and engaging day.
“You don't come out of the TED theater back into the mundane world. The world just beyond the doors is super-charged with potential, significance, serendipity. In a way, it's radically energizing.”
Wired.com, Marcus Wohlsen
The theme of TED2016 is Dream. Dreams matter. TED2016 will be dedicated to the greatest dreams we are capable of dreaming, will stare hard at humanity’s toughest challenges and listen carefully to those who can show us a way forward.
