Digital Collection Development Workshop
This PDE/Commonwealth Libraries train-the-trainer workshop authored by Debra Kachel and Joyce Valenza will apply traditional collection development methodologies to the “curation”—selection, organization, and professional presentation—of digital content, services, and tools for K-12 students and teachers. Trained school and public librarians will receive a one-year access to LibGuides, a licensed web tool for libraries, and learn to create electronic guides to digital resources that can be added to a library websites. Act 48 hours are given to librarians who attend the face-to-face training sessions.
