"Recently, I began using Wimba to conduct online meetings for a project I had been assigned. This product has worked so well, my task force team members have voted not to meet in person again. It has not only saved us travel time and money (for mileage reimbursement), it has also allowed each staff member to be more accessible to service our customers.
Our task was to create a document consisting of competencies for our reference staff. My team of five was located in five separate library locations stretching across Lee County which is an 800-square mile area. Wimba has made it possible for us to meet at a specified time in order to accomplish our goals. We can communicate verbally as well as through text. As a class instructor, I have the ability to store documents in the “meeting room” so they can be viewed by each of us at the same time.

At the appointed hour, we all log into the session and begin working on our project just as if we were face-to-face. We have a lot of fun using this product while getting a lot of work accomplished. This has been a GREAT tool for us and I have another task force team ready to start utilizing Wimba for our collaborative meetings."
