I'm currently the Senior Library Technician at Robins Air Force Base. Since our director is the only person on staff who has an MLS, I function as our Reference Librarian in addition to being the point person for the Tech Services side of things. Basically, I help people use our online resources and our print collection, and also train my co-workers on copy cataloging.
I'm the primary person for ILL (Inter-Library Loan) and document delivery (available from commercial services).
Honing my ability to use all these resources is a benefit in my hobby, genealogy. (If library work is putting people and information together, then genealogy is using information to put people [i.e., family members] together.)
