About Me/Bio: During the past thirty-seven years I have held a variety of positions within the library profession including Children’s/Young Adult Librarian in Madison, WI and Woodstock, IL, Reference Librarian, Madison, WI and Adult Services Department Head in Stevens Point, Public Relations/Marketing Librarian, McHenry County, IL and as the Library Director in Platteville, WI and Regional Public Library System Director in Southwest Wisconsin and the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. I have been a practicing librarian in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.
Currently I work for the Minnesota Department of Education, specifically in the State Library Agency –State Library Services, as one of four Library Development & Services Specialists. My major focus is on the LSTA federal grant program for libraries, special projects and web content manager for the division.
I’m a working artist with a Bachelor of Arts degree in fiber arts and specialize in fabric design and wood cuts. I have organized art exhibitions and regional and national juried art shows in Stevens Point and Platteville, Wisconsin.
I also have a background in food service with training and experience as a sous chef, pastry chef and ran a catering service with my brother. I am an avid antique and art collector.

About Me/Bio: I’m originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and come to the library profession after a tour through sales and sales management, marketing, the brokerage industry, and higher education. I have a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Quality as well as a Master of Science in Library Science from Clarion University.
Dear Husband Brian (known in my blog as DH) and I live in Rochester with our three dogs: Ginger, the Golden Retriever, Zena, the Rat Terrier, and Casey, the Goldendoodle.
Our real kid, Kelly, lives in Milwaukee and presented us with our darling granddaughter, Alannah, in June 2006.
