Description:This training consists of two, 2 hour synchronous sessions Learn how you can add instructor led course offerings to your own private course catalog through WJ LMS - Plateau. Whether an online or in-person training, you can add upcoming offerings to your course catalog for staff or community members to enroll directly through your WebJunction Private Course Catalog. In our first session, we will explore the building blocks of course listings in Plateau. We will begin by looking at examples of different course types. We will walk through the actual steps of setting up a specific course type (live online, in-person, blended learning), entering specific resource information (instructor information and training locations), content information (where people are sent once they enroll and launch a live online course). You will be invited to sign in to your own admin account to enter your instructor information and training location for one live training your organization is planning on offering. In our second session, we will continue our lesson as we walk through the steps to entering a specific learning item in Plateau: the course information that defines and describes your learning or training event. The item is where you define the type of course, the title, description, contact credit value, and subject area for that course offering. Once you’ve entered a course into your catalog you can then assign specific training dates for enrollment. This is where we will walk through the final steps of associating a learning event, training dates, times, locations, and instructors to a specific scheduled offering. You will be invited to sign in to your own admin account and enter your course Item and schedule the offering for a specific date and time.
