During the fourth day of the Department of Libraries' Basic Public Library Administration workshops, we talked about working with people - customer service, working in groups, and relationships with Friends of the Library groups. One of the best resources for working with groups - facilitating discussion, brainstorming, reaching consensus - happens to be the last third of Sandra Nelson's THE NEW PLANNING FOR RESULTS (ALA, 2000).
