Online Continuing Education Opportunities

Hello all,
Stick season is upon us and we're nearing the end of the Vermont Department of Libraries 2009 workshop schedule. But we don't want to stop learning until new programs are offered in the spring.
In order to continue providing educational opportunities, DOL has paid for a number of online courses for free use by Vermont library staff. These have been purchased from WebJunction and Le@d. Included are courses on library services, management, technology, computer hardware and software applications, and web design and development.
The courses are self-paced and after enrollment, you will have access to the course materials for one year.
If you are interested in taking a course, first explore the course catalogs from each of the providers: WebJunction, Le@d, then contact Mara Siegel at mara.siegel@mail.dol.state.vt.us to obtain the coupon code for the course.
