Working with statistics in your library
10:10 AM EDT 6/5/07
Attached are slides and handouts from the portion of the Basic Public Library Administration workshop dealing with using statistics for decision making, public relations, and advocacy. There are two templates to use with community census information and library trend data.

In addition:
- community census profiles may be found at http://crs.uvm.edu/2000dps/
- statistics of Vermont public libraries may be found at http://dol.state.vt.us/GOPHER_ROOT5/LIBRARIES/stats/PLSTATS.HTML
- compare your library's statistics with those of peers around the country at http://nces.ed.gov/surveys/libraries/publicpeer/

Check the "New Planning for Results" workshop information for other handouts and information on long range planning.
