How do you inform staff of WebJunction Training
11:52 AM EST 11/15/07
Do you add WebJunction classes to your training calendar?
Do you send out email reminders?
Or do staff just go to WebJunction and find them on their own?

Just seeing how other libraries take advantage of the free sessions that WebJunction offers.

I did not think of adding free WJ Classes to our training calendar -- but this will change shortly because of this thread.

What do you do Lori? Are they on your calendars? Does it work?

We add the free WebJunction webinars to our statewide calendar of CE events. The quality of the topics and speakers has been high, and adding them to our calendar allows us to direct busy staff to great, brief, free CE opportunities. I can't tell you how many people participate, since registration isn't required and wouldn't be done by us.

We add the free WebJunction webinars to our CE calendar. So far the response has been very positive. We also send out periodic workshop update emails to remind listserv participants.

Ha I'm a little late in responding.emoticon

We do not add them to our calendar as it is already packed. But I started a blog for staff training and am going to be adding all the extra training in here.
