Tracking Online WebJunction Training
1:44 PM EDT 9/19/07
I've poked around a bit, but can't find any management tools that could be utilized to track what sessions our library staff have attended and completed on WebJunction.

We want to ensure staff are getting the training they need AND get credit for completing training as required by performance plans or personal curiousity?

Any ideas? We've got nearly 400 staff members in a county wide system, so large scale thoughts would be helpful...but I'm willing to collect certificates of completion if necessary.

My apologies for such a delayed response! I had to get some answers myself before I could share any useful info with you.

Organizations (like Community Partners) that purchase course units from WebJunction are provided with regular reports on course usage and completion. We'd be happy to talk with you offline about making such a purchase.

For general purposes, most of our customers are tracking attendance and seat hours by the certificates of completion that a user prints at the end of a course --as you suggested. Granted, it's a bit tedious to collect them, but the certificates do indicate that the learner achieved 70% or better on the final assessment.

I'd like to hear some ideas about what others are doing to track staff training."
