Conversion Software Makes it Easy to Create Self-Paced Tutorials
Want to make face-to-face training material available long after the training is over? Create self-paced tutorials by converting PowerPoints to Flash files.

Looking for a quick way to turn face-to-face trainings into online tutorials?

One of the easiest ways to get started is to convert your training PowerPoints to Flash files that can easily be posted to your web site for use as self-paced tutorials.  Most conversion software even allows you to add narration. The best part:  because the flash files are based on PowerPoint, they can be easily updated as information changes.

To get started, check out this list of tools that convert PowerPoint to Flash.

To see how other libraries are making use of these tools, go to our Sample Staff Training Modules page.  Two examples: Online CE from the Southwest Iowa Library Service Area and 7 1/2 Habits of Successful Lifelong Learners.

Both lists can also be accessed through WebJunction’s del.icio.us account, here and here.
