Doug Johnson, the author, is a school media specialist extraordinaire. His article uses Maslow's hierarchy of needs as an approach to technology planning.

Although this is set in the school library arena, I thought this might be interesting to you public librarians, too.

I really like the article's sample survey for staff members on long range tech planning progress and priorities. This could be an excellent way for libraries to obtain "buy in" for tech planning initiatives from those who'll be involved. Thanks for sharing Brenda! I'm also going to pass this on to our content folks to see if we can get permission to add to the collection at WJ.
