Social Sites and Collaboration

This isn't strictly on-topic for this group, but you all are librarians who are obviously comfortable with social media sites (since you are active on one!) and I hoped I might get some pointers from you all. I'm writing up a Tech Report on collaboration using social sites (Facebook, Ning, LibraryThing, Twitter, the new Webjunction...) and would like to get some examples of real work being done via those sorts of channels. If you know of a project that is using one of these social sites to facilitate their work, please let me know, either here or drop me a line at robin.hastings@gmail.com. I would greatly appreciate it, and the person/persons doing the project would get some national exposure!
