Lifehack's Top Web Apps of 2007
10:52 AM EST 12/27/07
Lifehack.org has a list of the year's top web apps. It's worth a look--I was only aware of 2 of the 11 apps listed. The link is given below:

I'm not sure what happened to his post, but here is a reply on this topic from timking:

"Thanks. This is good stuff. Even I don't plan to use these apps -- in a library context or no -- I find it helpful to see a survey of what's new, cool, and especially useful.

I've been thinking about pulling together a roundup of some of these "best of" that we might have missed in the last month or so. Any interest?"

...and my response is...sure, I think that's a great idea. Here are a few that I've come across lately:

Thanks to Tim King for the great idea!

Thanks otrebor, I have no idea where that post went. Very odd. Most likely I did something dumb and deleted myself -- at least with being a newbie here, that's almost a legit excuse!

At any rate, thanks for your other links. These are great, and exactly what I had in mind. I have a couple more on the other computer that I'll try to get up here tomorrow.

Anyone else got any award-winners or list-makers or just apps they want to share?

Here is a list of top learning tools posted by the Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies:

Note that many of the top results are web applications!

These are great. I see Slideshare made #11. This tool is gaining steam (and getting better and better) pretty quickly.

I love how so many of these on the list work together -- rather than trying each to be all and do all everything. For example, Slideshare and Flickr, Snag-it, Firefox, WordPress, Paint.net, and RSS can all work together to build a pretty nifty blog!
