Widgets, slide shows, carousels, etc.

I need help! I would like to feature some halloween dvd titles on our webpage in a banner that scrolls across the top of the webpage. I think this is some type of carousel. I can create a widget using my amazon wish list and adaptive blue technology but this would be a list or grid view. I want something that scrolls across. I need something fairly easy to use. I have tried using popfly with limited success. One site I saw seemed to be using something called loadInitHandler. I found some information on Yahoo UI Library, carousel control but iit is boggling my mind.
Does anyone know of an easy solution to get these results.
