Sorry if this has already been mentioned elsewhere on the boards.... Google has a new librarian central and they are going to be publishing an electronic newsletter 4 times per year: http://www.google.com/services/librarian_center.html

Wow... I totally missed this. Thanks for posting the link.

How are they going to verify if someone is a librarian or not? Not that it really matters, but I am just kind of curious.

I am off to register and explore.

They probably don't care (whether a person is a 'real' library or a 'poser' librarian) - any interested person who registers just ups their stats. I registered a while ago and haven't received anything yet. I'm looking forward to seeing what they send us!

There's an article explaining G's ranking, but I didn't find any mention of search engine optimizers, Google-bombers, or the influence of paid advertisers. I'll be interested to see where this goes. I just subscribed.
