WebJunction's Spanish Language Outreach (Temporarily Unavailable for techical repair)

WebJunction's Spanish Language Outreach Course provides useful tips and tools for reaching out to Spanish speakers near your library in order to define and better meet their needs and, ultimately, to help them bridge the digital divide that separates them from the benefits of information technology.  Learners create an action plan for building partnerships and implementing outreach activities to Spanish-speakers in their community.

Providing Excellent Customer Service in a Multi-Cultural Environment (LE@D)
The initial course in this series focuses on cultural awareness, sensitivity to other cultures, working past language barriers, creating a welcoming environment in the library. The course offers examples and practical tips about values, etiquette, and attitudes within different cultures.

Multicultural Literature for Teens and Young Adults (LE@D)
This short course will introduce tenets of evaluation of different genre of literature in terms of both literary and extra-literary concerns. It will take you off line to read, think and respond to books which ultimately can be shared with other readers of all ages.
