Washington Learning Systems
A site offering Spanish language parent-child early literacy activities and materials, supported by a grant from the US Dept. of Education/Office of Special Education Programs and Washington Learning Systems. To download materials go to the site and click on the purple button that says "Free Parent Education Handouts" on the home page. Quick Time video "Talking and Books" also available in Spanish, English, and Vietnamese on strategies for developing early literacy.

ALA El dia de los ni?os/El dia de los libros Resources
The Association for Library Service for Children (ALSC) put together this site in partnership with National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish Speaking (REFORMA). The resources available here include: information about educational programs, a list sponsors, free materials including a downloadable PSA by Dia founder Pat Mora and Celebrate!/Celebremos brochures in English and Spanish (available in PDF or in quantity in print), and more.

American Council on Education's K-16 youth development program that motivates middle and high school students from underserved communities to seek a college education. The site offers a number of basic primers (many in Spanish!) on such subjects as financial aid programs, a glossary of financial aid terms, and courses students should take to prepare for college.

International Children's Digital Library
The International Children's Digital Library (ICDL) is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to create a digital library of international children's books.
