Literacy resource

I have learned that a site offering Spanish language parent-child early literacy activities has been made available for all. The development of these materials was supported by a grant from the US Dept. of Education/Office of Special Education Programs and Washington Learning Systems. To download materials go to www.walearning.com and click on the purple button that says "Free Parent Education Handouts" on the home page.
Materials include 46 home and community activities for adults and preschool children (appropriate for disabled children as well). Materials are designed to address key skills of language development, phonological awareness and general print awareness. Files are in PDF and include English and Spanish. Materials may be copied and distributed as long as they are not sold.

Hello,
My name is Paul Rogers and I am new to this list. I am the author of a free, bilingual and interactive (with voice) ESL website for spanish speakers, PUMAROSA.COM.
I also am the new coordinator for Family Education and Literacy for El Concilio del Condado in Oxnard, California.
We provide basic ESL, Citizenship and Computer Literacy classes now. Later we want to set up a Spanish literacy program, perhaps using LEAMOS.ORG.
I feel strongly that social service agencies and libraries should work together in all literacy issues.
I look forward to further discussions.
