MS MapPoint Printing Problem

Hello everybody,

I am curious if anybody else has had a problem with MS MapPoint printing text incorrectly. When it prints the text comes up as a bunch of incoherent characters. The maps and text on the maps come up alright, it is only the information that is entered by the user that comes up incorrectly. Thanks and I look forward to any responses.

Does this happen on all your machines? If you support more than one library, does it happen at multiple locations?

If it is only one computer, I'd try reinstalling MapPoint and the printer driver. If it is all computers at one location, then maybe it is that printer (assuming they all print to the one granted preinter). At multiple locations I would suspect a flaw in the program or some issue between it and the printer driver version installed.

I'll see if I can recreated on one of our Win 2K upgraded machines here.

It is only happening on all of our Gates computers. They all have the 4050 PS drivers running...we have 5 branches and our main building here. At main we run it through the Pharos print system, not at the branches. I installed the 4050 PS driver and the Gates printer to my computer and run it through Pharos print and it prints fine for me. I can only think that it is either a problem that came over from the first install and we used Norton Ghost for the rest or a security setting, but if it were a security setting I would think that others would have run into the same situation. Thanks.
