Does anyone out there use Mandarin? Would you recommend it?

Our library has a collection of approximately 77,000 titles. We are using Horizon. I just moved here from a smaller library with about 45,000 volumes where we used Athena by Sagebrush. Horizon seems ridiculously difficult to use compared to Athena, particularly for staff.

Lorraine Lanius keeps a list of who has what automated system in Vermont at http://dol.state.vt.us/sites/libraries/files/tsu/whohaswhat.htm.
Plenty of school and public libraries using Mandarin, though most of the listings won't tell you which version.
Schools: Craftsbury Academy, Lyndon Institute, Rochester, three in Montpelier.
Public libraries all around the state: John G. McCullough/ N. Bennington, Brandon Free, Blake Memorial/ Corinth, Rochester, Royalton, Hartford, Hartland, Norman Williams/Woodstock, to name a few.
If you need more information to get in touch with a library, try the VT Library Directory at http://dol.state.vt.us/libraries/dir
