Introducing Round 3 Spanish Language Outreach Workshops

Round 2 of the SLO program is wrapping up and we're excited to announce the 17 states that will be participating in Round 3: Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Idaho, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Nebraska, Mississippi, Oregon, Texas, South Carolina, West Virginia, Montana, Missouri, Kansas, and Louisiana.  Round 3 states will be delivering a
total of 157 workshops from October 2007 - May 2008.

July Webinar: Customer Service for the Multicultural Community

Yolanda Cuesta of Cuesta Multicultural Consulting will present the July webinar Customer Service for Multicultural Communities (http://webjunction.org/do/Navigation?category=15431.  She will speak about the need to understand the perspectives that people from different cultures bring to the library experience and to customer service and how cultural differences impact customer service.  She will cover best practices for delivering services to the multicultural library patron.
