I found a great list of outdoor, survival and exploration titles, from a link on Wikipedia. There are a lot of really good books on a variety of topics for the outdoor-minded.

Thank you, Thank you! What a great list. Good ideas for book discussion or personal reading. In our library, adventurous stories like these are extremely popular. Our non-fiction group started over 8 years ago with a selection of adventure tales, most of which are on this list. My most popular book display was an adventure on the high seas, again with many books from this list. I see a few I hadn't heard of and can't wait to add them to the TBR pile. Once again, welcome and thanks for sharing.

Here is a list of sea adventures, fiction and non-fiction, with some good titles (maybe some overlap with the other list, too).

Took a better look at this list and it really is super! The books represented here would make a great display or booklist. What other ways could you see using this? I'm going to contact National Geographic to see about a reprint. I'm always a bit cautious when reprinting from a magazine source.
