User Access Restriction Systems
These products all provide security by restricting access to computer functions and applications. Some also include additional features such as time management.

Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit - A free PAC security system for Windows XP and later that offers both user restriction and system reset features and allows the administrator to user either or both. Includes basic time management.

Computer Reset Systems
These products all block permanent changes to the hard drive by deleting them at either log off or restart.

Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit - A free PAC security system for Windows XP and later that offers both user restriction and system reset features and allows the administrator to user either or both. The reset system includes flexibility to delay reset so that changes can be saved after reboot, but later reset back to original state.

Thin Client Systems
Thin client systems are an alternative to PC based systems, and involve a combination of software, hardware and networking to create a secure environment. Can be a good solution if you are also looking to replace hardware.
