Take Five! An Ohio Youth Services Day of Dialogue on Challenges, Solutions, and Emerging Best Practices

Wednesday, May 16, 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Columbus Museum of Art

Take Five! is a day of structured conversation for teen and youth services librarians, youth services library workers, school librarians, museum educators, arts leaders, and graduate students. Our collaborative, in-person environment will promote creative approaches as we discuss new ideas in teen services, grassroots advocacy, youth empowerment, 21st century learning, STEM, collaboration, support-building, and the user experience in informal learning environments. Participants will be challenged and encouraged to “Take Five”. By taking just five hours to engage in this process (plus a bonus hour for lunch!), you will take away at least five new contacts, five new ideas, and five action steps.

Teen Read Week

Teen Read Week is a national literacy initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association. It's aimed at teens, their parents, librarians, educators, booksellers and other concerned adults. Teen Read Week is held each year during the third week of October.
