The Library Programs and Development (LPD) department at the State Library of Ohio is charged with providing leadership and partnership in the development of library services throughout Ohio. The three main areas in the department are: Consultant Services, Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant administration, and Data Coordination.

The LPD staff coordinates statewide projects and programs such as the Summer Reading Program, Choose to Read Ohio, the Ohio eBook Project, and Connecting to Collections.
