Digital formats have become a hot topic in libraries everywhere and Illinois is no exception. Illinois libraries are looking towards the future by lending eReaders; providing eBooks; training patrons and staff to use new digital technology; and adjusting services to support access to information in a rapidly evolving digital world.

  • Freading-A pay-per-use system created by Library Ideas LLC.
  • Netbrary-Netbrary is a fully online library, providing ebook lending to groups and individuals.
  • OverDrive-OverDrive is a leading full-service digital distributor of eBooks, audiobooks, and other digital content.
  • TumbleBook Library-TumbleBook Library is an online collection of animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love.
