Museum Adventure Pass Program
The Museum Adventure Pass Progam, a collaboration of three legacy library systems and Macy's, was designed to provide patrons of select Illinois public libraries with passes to area museums. The three legacy library systems, Dupage Library System, North Suburban Library System, and Metropolitan Library System have since become members of the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS), which was formed on July 1, 2011.
Currently, the Macy’s Museum Adventure Pass program provides free admission to 14 unique cultural destinations throughout the Chicago area to library card holders at over 160 suburban public libraries. This special opportunity is made possible by a generous contribution from Macy’s, the participating cultural organizations, and the Participating Illinois Public Libraries.
The archived recording is of a webinar presented on August 8, 2006 to provide staff at the participating legacy library systems an orientation to the Museum Adventure Pass Program. In the webinar, the program's website was introduced and project managers were available to answer questions from system staff members. Supplemental materials, included below, were also provided to system staff.
