School District Library Grant
Every Student Counts
The School District Library Grant Program, the first of its kind in the nation, is designed to help provide more library books and materials for the students of public schools in Illinois. The state legislature has authorized up to a $.75 per pupil expenditure for qualifying schools.
Grant funds must be used to support the services of the district's school library media program, including:
- Purchase of library books and other library materials
- Purchase and maintenance of library equipment used by staff and/or students as part of regular library services
- Professional development of the library staff
- Library computers and telecommunications costs
