Welcome to WebJunction Illinois!
WebJunction Illinois is brought to you by the Illinois State Library and State Librarian Jesse White using federal Library Service & Technology Act (LSTA) funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). IMLS is the primary source of federal support for the nation’s 123,000 libraries and 17,500 museums. The Institute's mission is to create strong libraries and museums that connect people to information and ideas.
We function as an online learning community offering readily accessible information and self paced courses for the continued success of our 21st Century libraries and library staff members throughout Illinois.
Whether you are a library director, a school media specialist, or an Illinois trustee, you will find that there is a little bit of something for everyone. We invite you to take a few minutes to explore the resources available specifically for the Illinois library community.
As you begin to explore our new home, be sure to take a look under Professional Development for upcoming library conferences and workshops, IL Libraries to find what WJIL has for your unique library type, and our Topics page that includes things like sample policies and information for Illinois Trustees.
