Looking for a replacement SCSI hard drive for Gateway's model 7200 content server. Does anybody know where we can purchase replacement drives. Gateway no longer stocks replacements.

Take a look at pricewatch.com.

What you are looking for is a SCSI SCA 68 pin drive. It's the 68 pin part that is harder to find, but I see some listed for under $150 for 36GB drives.

Alternately, there are many places that sell an adapter that allows you to use a newer, 80 pin drive. These cost about $10.

Welcome to the forum!

I agree that Pricewatch is a good way to go, but be careful of some of the vendors. If you find one that you aren't experienced with, check them out at Bizrate.com.

It is easy to get burned by some companies.

I will reply to my own reply here. This company has always been very reliable for me. I have built several computers with parts acquired through them. You might want to check out this URL.

They have some 68 pin drives that should fit you nicely.

Wendell - yes, excellent advice. I have also bought from New Egg many times and always had good luck with them.

And I notice that the 36GB drives are now cheaper than the 18GB drives, so don't get stuck on the idea of an identical replacement.
