In my ideal online community, you will be able to connect with librarians in the field who can guide you toward job fulfillment. Im too new to the profession to be able to do that, but I can point you to some of the resources here on the site. Once you land your first position, I hope you find mentor(s) to help you learn the ropes. Im always a big fan of volunteering in the area in which you hope to work. Youll get some direct practical experience and you just might get the personal guidance youre seeking.
