I think this is the first time WJ has repeated a webinar topic in such a short period of time. That just proves to me what an important topic it is. Informal learning is instinctive for us humans. It's crucial to create environments that encourage and facilitate it and that certainly do not inhibit it.

I realized during the webinar that I was experiencing some valuable informal learning through the chat interactions---right in the midst of the more formal delivery by Lori. I learned about Overdrive, which was completely new information to me. Some people find running chat distracting, but I think it's a fine example of providing an environment that maximizes learning and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.

That's great feedback Betha. I was in a webinar earlier in the week where someone mentioned the chat being distracting. I think it is great to have it as an option for those who want to use it. I need to go back and watch the webinar again and read all the chats. I couldn't keep up during the webinar.
