Time and money seem to be tightly intertwined, although they could be teased apart into
  • how to structure training time into a staff person's work day
  • how to afford to devote staff time to training
  • how to find more cost-effective training opportunities

training, microsoft online available - need to prioritize and have a schedule"

being such a big issue."

The really big problem concerning online is helping staff become e-learners."

GA_pat says, "I promote the WJ courses and let people know they can work on the
courses when they have time - even if they only have 10 or 15 minutes at a time, They
have up to a year to access and complete the course."
Jane_H says, "Our State Library is starting what we call RACE--Random Acts of
Continuing Ed--which will be webinars on various topics that librarians in the state
indicate they want."
Robin_Hastings says, "I do that as well, Francis - that's a good way to sneak in some
training!"
