If you haven’t attended one of MaintainIT’s train-the-trainer webinars, I really encourage you do try one. It is great to have a forum to discuss library training with others from around the country, and it is free! There is a different focus every month. September 10 will be on online training, something Brenda knows a lot about having just done about a gazillion webinars.
September Train-the Trainer Webinar from MaintainIT: Online Training
WHEN: September 10th, 11 AM (Pacific)There is a free one-hour MaintainIT webinar on September 10th at 11 AM (Pacific)/2 PM (Eastern). It is a train-the-trainer event! Do you do library technology training? If so, please consider attending this one hour webinar. Learn about resources for trainers and hear about training happening in the field from library experts.
September's webinar will be based on ideas generated from the August webinar, and we will focus on "online training." We will talk about using MaintainIT resources in online training and will talk about general best practices for online training, too.
The MaintainIT Project has gathered hundreds of stories and best practice examples related to public access computing in libraries. We have created resources that may be of use to you in the training you provide.
Attend this webinar to find out what resources are available and to hear about specific training techniques. It is necessary to register for the webinar. When you do, access instructions will be emailed to you.
After you register, you will receive an email with specific instructions for accessing the webinar. We use the ReadyTalk platform, which requires you to be connected via a toll-free telephone call and also via the web. Please contact Brenda Hough, brenda@techsoup.org, if you have any questions about this event.
