Sometimes a library employee experiences serious financial straits from past-due debts, unpaid child support payments, tax levies or other third party obligations. If that happens, then the employing library, library district, or library system may be required to respond to a legal process that requires the library to withhold monies from the employee's wages and to pay those monies over to the employee's creditor.
