Land Resources
Land is a critically important natural resource. It is defined as any part of the earth's surface that is not covered by water. Information resources about land include geography, soils, land ownership, cover, use and management. A number of U.S. government agencies provide information about land resources. Additionally, they manage federal lands and assist private landowners in their management of land. Some of these agencies are listed in the See Also section below.
