By way of shamelessness
4:15 PM EDT 8/6/08
All in the name of self-promotion:

1. I've got a blog! Please read it!

http://collections2point0.wordpress.com/

Betha was kind enough to link to in the collection development area here.

2. I'm moving next week from Utah State University in Logan, Utah to the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Green chili! Num!

Welcome to WJ Steven!

Did you notice that the "Shameless Self-promotion" thread from the old WJ had almost 39,000 views? We weren't able to display views on the old forums, so we never knew how many people were checking out our "shamelessness."

Your blog caught my attention---the future of collection development can certainly be a hot 2.0 topic. I loved your post about library brain chips. If you have any articles to add to the collection development section, don't be shy.

I'm going to assume that this is the new shameless thread and go ahead and add my own:

An article that I co-wrote is on the *cover* of library journal. I can hardly believe it myself: What We Need

So far I've heard good reviews. Please tell me what you think about the article w/ a comment to my blog. (I'm going to try and get re-print permission from LJ to re-publish here on WJ, but I don't have it yet. Stay tuned...)

hmmmm, I had assumed this was an extra shameless redundant shameless (i.e. spam) topic. ----> off to read your article...

You're famous!

Me too. That was former ALA prez Loriene Roy who said that, by the way.

(We had to take out all the names from the article because some people became very agitated about some of the things they had said in the survey. We didn't mind though, because we gave people the option of being anonymous so that they could really share their experiences. The important thing is getting the word out there, not who said them!)
