Hello Everyone
2:11 PM EDT 7/30/08 as a reply to Chrystie Hill.
Hi,

My name is Jacqueline and I work at the Joliet Public Library in IL. I got my degree in print journalism but the dying medium forced me to make a career change into Youth Services and I love it! I look forward to sharing ideas and learning from each and every one of you.

Welcome Jacqueline! Glad to see another J-school/print journalism refuge around here. I find the library world requires a similar skill set but with greater (personal, at least ;-) rewards.

Normally I'd tell offer a few links to help orient you to the site but with the new version of WebJunction coming in about a week it wouldn't do much good. For now, stay tuned, and congrats on picking such an exciting time to join WebJunction!

I'm with a small library in Ohio and I know enough spanish to get in a lot of trouble. (Fortunately, my frinds have a good sense of humor so we laugh and move on.) We have a few spanish patrons and we would like to purcahse a few really good books in Spanish or spanish/english to get started. Any suggestions as to what should be our first books for children, young adults, and adults? Ad

Hi Adrianne!

Welcome. I wish I had some Spanish language expertise, but don't. I do know, however, that a number of people are talking about this on another part of this message board. It's an entire section ... you're sure to find it.

Greetings Chad!
Wanted to be sure you saw that a new introduce yourself on the "next" WJ thread was started. We figured with the new site it was the beginning of a new era!

Great to see you here, or there!
