Welcome to the Experience WJ Project! This group was created to welcome you to the new platform to encourage you to engage, explore and have fun with the new site. There are a series of fun and interesting tasks that group members will be working though, each designed to get you the highest quality experience and the most value out of your time on the new WebJunction.
The way it works:
- We’re recommending you move in order through the steps, but after the first few, you may skip around and feel free to explore additional aspects of each step and challenge yourself when you can!
- Please remember to tag with or use “expwj” in what you do as a part of the project. With this tag, we’ll be able to see the project grow with your actions, connections and content.
- There is a discussion for each of the experience steps mentioned below. Share your questions or thoughts about each step and feel free to post a new discussion thread to suggest additional “experiences”.
Tips:
- Check out the Member Center for guides and discussions if you need help. The User Guide provides loads of information to get you onboard and the Contribute page helps explain why you benefit from more engagement on the WebJunction site.
- Encourage other staff at your library to join you the Experience WJ Project. It’s more fun to learn with colleagues, especially with the new social tools on the site.
- There is no pressure here, but remember, the more you play and experience here, the greater your rewards.
By the way, we’re going to be giving away some prizes to participants in this group. More details to follow!

- Find a document in a topic area of interest to you
- If it hasn’t been tagged with “expwj,” add the tag to indicate that a group member has browsed there.
- Add a comment to the document. Remember that comments can alert contributors and editors about dead links, outdated content, suggested additions, or other related web resources.
- And rate the document: Rating can help surface content that members are finding valuable, or not so valuable. Don't be afraid to be honest; the tool is there to help surface anonymous feedback.

 | This pretty little picture isn't here on accident! It is part of a little "Easter Egg Hunt" game we are playing here on the new WJ. If you can figure out what is going on with this little picture soon enough there might be a cool prize in it for you! |
