Connecticut Digital Collections

Treasures of Connecticut Libraries
Treasures of Connecticut Libraries is a joint project of the Connecticut State Library and Library Connection to help libraries in Connecticut digitize their historical items and make them available for searching. Items in the current collection contain photographs, maps, postcards, letters, films and more.
Newspapers of Connecticut
The Newspapers of Connecticut collection samples the State Library's collection of historical newspapers covering the various regions, perspectives and topics, primarily during the Civil War era in Connecticut.
Connecticut Digital Newspaper Project
The Connecticut State Library (CSL), with its partners from a Coalition of Supporting Institutions, proposes to participate in the National Endowment for the Humanities’ (NEH) National Digital Newspaper Program and digitize 100,000 pages of newspapers published in Connecticut between 1836 and 1922. A grant application was submitted and we will know the results in the summer.
