• PubChem - "PubChem provides information on the biological activities of small molecules. It is a component of NIH's Molecular Libraries Roadmap Initiative."

• National Institute of Standards and Technology - "The National Institute of Standards and Technology conducts and supports scientific and engineering research in disciplines ranging from chemistry and physics to information technology. NIST provides access to material pertinent to their mission from this website." There are links to NIST scientific and engineering data, standards, databases, laboratories, software, and other NIST information and services.

• ToxSeek – "A meta-search engine that enables simultaneous searching of many different information resources on the World Wide Web. The ToxSeek user interface allows selection of resources from a wide range of authoritative resources."

• Science Accelerator - "Science Accelerator is a portal searching searches vast scientific and technical resources, including R&D results, project descriptions, accomplishments, and more, via resources made available by OSTI. This database was developed by the Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) within the Department of Energy (DOE) and is available as a free public service."

• Energy Citations Database - The Energy Citations Database (ECD) "provides free access to over 2.3 million science research citations from 1948 through the present, with continued growth through regular updates. There are over 150,000 electronic documents, primarily from 1994 forward, available via the database. ECD includes scientific and technical research results in disciplines of interest to DOE such as chemistry, physics, materials, environmental science, geology, engineering, mathematics, climatology, oceanography, computer science and related disciplines. It includes bibliographic citations to report literature, conference papers, journal articles, books, dissertations, and patents."

• DOE Information Bridge - "The DOE Information Bridge provides free public access to full-text documents and bibliographic citations of Department of Energy (DOE) research report literature. Documents are primarily from 1994 forward and were produced by DOE, the DOE contractor community, and/or DOE grantees. Legacy documents are added as they become available in electronic format. The subject areas included are physics, chemistry, materials, biology, environmental sciences, energy technologies, engineering, computer and information science, renewable energy, and other topics of interest related to DOE's mission."

• DOE Data Explorer (DDE) - DDE contains scientific research data, such as computer simulations, numeric data files, figures and plots, interactive maps, multimedia, and scientific images - generated in the course of DOE-sponsored research in various science disciplines.

• National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) - Research - The National Center for Atmospheric Research's (NCAR) "activities as an integrator, innovator, and community builder are contributing to the development of a predictive Earth system science that can help sustain Earth’s habitability, improve environmental quality, safeguard human health, reduce the impacts of natural disasters, and increase economic productivity." NCAR's research website links to areas of research - climate, meteorology/weather, societal impacts, pollution & air chemistry, whole earth system, sun & space weather.

• National Technical Information Service (NTIS) - NTIS is an agency responsible for collecting for government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related since the 1950s. The NTIS database provides citation information for over 3 million publications from 1964 to the present.

• Science.gov - Search engine providing single search access to over 50 million pages of government science and reseach results. Many results are available in full text. Site is maintained by the Science.gov Alliance, a group of STI government agencies.

• NSCEP/NEPIS - EPA's Gateway to Free Digital and Paper Publications - Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) database providing access to tangible and electronic EPA reports from the 1970s. There are over 25,000 full text electronic reports and this collection continues to grow. The National Environmental Publications Internet Site (NEPIS) was incorporated into NSCEP in January 2007. NSCEP provides search and browse options.

• EPA Alphabetical Listing of Projects and Programs - Provides alternate way to access Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) information by links to EPA projects and programs.
