March Webinar Madness on TechAtlas
Are you looking for help with managing your library's technology inventory or maybe you need to start working on a technology plan? This month we are hosting a series of three webinars to introduce you to WebJunction's free, online technology planning and management tool called TechAtlas for Libraries. Participants in the sessions will get to see live demonstrations of the tools and also hear tips on best practices for planning and technology management.

WebJunction @ PLA 2010
As you plan your PLA 2010 Conference schedule, be sure to include these WebJunction events, where you’re likely to find other WebJunction members and staff—including our Party With Competencies. If you aren’t headed to Portland to attend the conference in person, nor attending Virtual PLA, we aim to provide you with conference coverage on WebJunction and BlogJunction.

Three New LE@D Courses Added to Catalog
Have you been tasked with making a plan for the future of your library? Two new courses from University of North Texas will give you a framework for your planning process while keeping in mind that budget, time, and resources are tight: Strategic Planning: The Five Minute Introduction and Strategic Planning: Quick, Cheap and Decent. If you are considering or planning a mentorship program, Mentors and Proteges: Creating Successful Workplace Programs is also now available.

As always, if you are a member of one of our State Library Partner communities, remember to go to that Partner's catalog to enroll in order to take advantage of free or reduced-cost courses.

April Webinars: Serving Older Adults and Using Competencies
Two new webinars are announced for April. Libraries Go Boom! Library Service to Older Adults and Baby Boomers will be presented by Douglas Lord, of the Connecticut State Library, on April 6. Douglas will discuss how libraries can identify and serve the needs of older patrons. Then on April 20, WebJunction will host Competency Success Stories for Your Library. You'll hear how various libraries are using competencies in their hiring, training, and continuous education initiatives. For more information about these an other upcoming webinars, visit the Events Calendar.

Online Conference Pilot is a Success
Drawing on the talent of 16 well-prepared presenters, our years of webinar experience, and hundreds of highly engaged attendees, Technology Essentials 2010—our first-ever free online conference—was a hit. Despite the snowstorms blanketing the U.S. and unusually heavy Internet traffic, presenters managed to deliver 10 hour-long sessions over 2 days to more than 700 people. A summary of what we learned from the post-event survey has been posted to BlogJunction. We look forward to applying this feedback to the next online conference.
