    <summary type="html">I think the difference here is clientele and goals:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Goals &amp;#045; might be different in the different types of libraries. IE., public libraries are ultimately interested in anyone and everyone coming in... academic libraries have some obvious target audiences built in.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Clientele &amp;#045; academics have students, profs, staff, distance ed students, etc...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The main thing to do with ANY type of library is to establish some goals &amp;#045; what do you hope to accomplish? Then go after those. And that doesn&amp;#039;t change between library types.</summary>
