Hi J,<br /><br />Welcome! I know that the City of Irving Texas has a very good Language Pay Policy. If you pass a spoken language test &#040;right now mostly Spanish and and a few Asian languages&#041;, you can get paid up to $150 a month for your skills.<br /><br />I just sent an email to a librarian there to ask his permision to share their policy document with you. <br /><br />LA County also offers compensation for bi&#045;lingual employees. <br /><br />I know that Tulsa City&#045;County Library System is implementing a Compensation Study. I am currently gathering information on whether or not any libraries around the country &#040;or elsewhere&#041; institute a pay differential of any sort for Spanish&#045;speaking staff. <br /><br />If you have any information or examples it would be greatly appreciated.
