Wisconsin Library Association went through a process over the last two years that has morphed the Wisconsin Library Trustee Association division of WLA into the Wisconsin Library Trustees and Friends:<br />http://www.wla.lib.wi.us/wlta/<br />and is in the process of folding in what formerly was a separate &#040;non&#045;WLA&#041; organization FOWL &#040;Friends of Wisconsin Libraries&#041; to bring together under one aegis advocates of all types.<br /><br />&#045;&#045;John DeBacher<br />Wisconsin Public Library Development

I thought it was interesting to see the [url http://www.ala.org/ala/pressreleases2007/september2007/alafolusa07.htm]press release[/url] about the new partnership between FOLUSA &#040;Friends of Libraries USA&#041; and ALTA &#040;Association of Library Trustees and Advocates&#041;. Will be interesting to see how it impacts the efforts of those who spend time in either of these spheres.
