Grace Greene and I have just finished the Vermont workshops to promote "Get a Clue." Here are some handouts from the Ludlow workshop-- and an invitation to jump in and add your two cents.

The 2007 Collaborative Summer Library Program Manual is the basic text for working with children, teens and adults. Vermont public libraries participating in last summer's program should have received the new manual by now.

One great idea from librarians in Ludlow: a small group of local librarians meeting monthly to brainstorm problems and help each other. If that doesn't work for you, use this virtual meeting at Webjunction instead!

If you've put together a book display featuring "Sisters in Crime," women authors of mysteries, you can compete for a great library prize. Sisters in Crime advises: Take a digital photo of the exhibit. Please e-mail it to webmaven@sistersincrime.org with "library display" in the subject heading. We'll be posting the photos on our website and also entering all participating librarians into a drawing for a mysterious basket of signed books.

21st Century Grant

Debbi Gadwah-Lambert in Canaan talked at the Ludlow Clue workshop about how her library works with the school under a Department of Education grant. Those grants are again available at the web site below.

Check out the "Crime Scene - Do Not Cross" laynard for only $7.00 (I had to get this!! ) and a real fingerprint kit on sale for $30.00. Kind of pricey but really looks authentic!
