Dorcas, Ed, and I have all met up again in the Strategic HR with Jeanne Goodrich in Decatur GA. What a cool town! and another great workshop. Lots of GA folks who have filled the room.

Ed said he did not get the invite so I pointed him here, but I'm not sure the info will work. I *do* wish I were more tech-fluent...

Oh my! I don't know of resources like that off the top of my head. Anybody else? I can poke around though if nothing pops up.

If you have any documents, files, forms, etc, to share, they can go there. Click the tab, upload a doc (and the descriptive info for the doc), save it it and viola', we'll all be able to see it. I know it isn't totally intuitive for everybody so I thought it might help to point it out.

And then, after you upload a document it show up on the group overview page (that intro/welcome page that is the group landing page). Cool!

Yes...I stuck it in my reply to hello everyone, but...you talked about library as community center and for some that's already so evident and fundamental. I am trying to create that to get away from the arguments about the space as book warehouse (but you won't have books so why do you need more space) and computer lab (but computers will only measure 4x4 inches and everyone will have one anyway so why does the library need more space)...
please point me to something I can share in a community conversation with the public. Right now, I'm thinking I'm going to start with version 3 or 4 of the Karl Fsich Did you know just to get people to think about change...but I'm nto really happy about that tool...

Michael--I used "stuff" acquired in MT as soon as I got back...alas I am slow in posting and joining and blah blah blah...

I had promised to send a kind of spiffy power point/slide share from Megan Engle (Social Media Manager for Michigan Nonprofit Association) who presented at our January staff in-service on social media to a fellow MTmate. I thought perhaps, instead, I'd post it here. There's lots of intro material out there (enjoyed David Lee King's blog today of a video from Gary V on social media) but this was something we found helpful...and Common Craft has a nifty one, too. I have no idea if my links will work...

thank you Susan for facilitating this. I truly hope Michael that you will incorporate the social media aspect into the course. MT is so much more than hardware software--how do you plan/budget/manage IMMing on the desk?

And, I need a quickie video or slideshare that I can share with my community (less than 75 probably, lucky if I get 5) during National Library Week on the future of libraries--promoting us as community centers but getting the discussion started to get everyone believing that's our role...

Mike - Our Libraryman - thanks for the wonderful 2-day session. You did a great job in getting us to think!
PLA - thanks for getting us all together for this from all over the country including the Bahamas. we learnt a lot more than just the curriculum!
Everyone- thanks for being so motivated. It was inspiring to see such enthusiasm when we have such gloom and doom around.
Hope we continue to have fun ... continue to learn from each other... continue to motivate each other... and continue the robust discussions we started.
