Hi All,
Thanks for inviting me Edgar.
I am having trouble adding a document to this forum - but I'll keep trying till I do.
What I want to add to this group is a word document including our individual profiles which each of us can add to - this is of course on a voluntary basis emoticon
I wish us all good success in our endeavours here
John

I know, we just add our profiles here - cut out any in between technologies why didn't I think of that in the first place emoticon

You already have my mug shot which I captured with PrintKey and then uploaded to my account details.
Ok, here is my profile:

I have been with the Australian National Library since September 2007 working initially on contract in Digitisation and now in a permanent position in Australian Serials.
My main interests include computing, both hardware and software. I have been interested in computing ever since the Apple 2e came out back in 1987.
My experience with web technologies date back to about 1995 and have learnt html and have been involved with web support at the ANU Library using Dreamweaver since 2000.
My input into online communication involved creating an electronic reserve service at ANU Library whereby chapters and articles for required readings were scanned and linked via the web opac to reserve lists.

Skills: html literate, some knowledge of xml and java – but limited.
Can build and repair computer systems and make use of macros to reduce RSI

Weaknesses: lot’s to learn about web 2.0 and how to use it
I am keen to be involved with this group and hope to both learn as well as contribute to it
